Martello

Martello is a new restaurant in Downtown Hamilton that combines the simplicity and comfort of traditional Italian cuisine with a vibrantly dynamic atmosphere. Italian for “hammer” Martello is a reference to Hamilton’s second name “hammertown” known by locals.

The team behind another local establishment “Nique Restaurant” was looking for a logo that would help define their 2nd dine-in restaurant location. The rough around the edges, speak easy style of restaurants in New York City and Brooklyn was the source of inspiration for this new venue with the aim to become a local hotspot in Hamilton. With all that in mind I kept this logo modern with a little bit of grit to add to texture.
